For the discerning PC builder in South Africa, the Antec MEGA 850W 80 PLUS Gold Modular PC Power Supply is the foundational element of a stable, high-performance system.

This 850W power supply is not merely a component; it is the lifeblood of your creation, ensuring that every other part receives the clean, reliable energy it requires to perform at its peak. Whether you are assembling a gaming powerhouse, a professional content creation workstation, or a demanding server, this modular power supply unit (PSU) provides the unwavering support essential for sustained operation and longevity. It is designed for those who understand that a superior build begins with a superior foundation, cutting through the noise of less capable alternatives with its robust specifications and enduring quality.

Uncompromising power delivery and efficiency in this 850W power supply

At the core of the Antec MEGA 850W lies its commitment to performance and efficiency. With a substantial 850W output, this 850W power supply confidently powers high-end CPUs and graphics cards, even under heavy loads. The 80 PLUS Gold certification signifies a minimum of 87% efficiency at 20% load, 90% at 50% load, and 87% at 100% load, translating directly into reduced energy waste, lower electricity bills, and less heat generation within your system. This enhanced efficiency is crucial for maintaining optimal operating temperatures and prolonging the lifespan of your components. The 850W power supply ensures that your system receives ample energy for all its needs.

Intelligent design for a cleaner build with a modular power supply

The full modular design of this Antec power supply is a significant advantage for builders who value aesthetics and airflow. It means you only connect the necessary cables, eliminating the clutter of unused wires that can obstruct airflow and make cable management a chore. This approach not only results in a cleaner, more professional-looking build but also contributes to better internal cooling, further safeguarding your valuable components from heat-related degradation. This modular power supply system is designed for ease of use and optimal performance.

Engineered for reliability and peace of mind with an 850W power supply

Your investment deserves protection. The Antec MEGA 850W is equipped with an extensive suite of protection circuits, including Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Surge and Inrush Current Limiter (SIP), and Non-Linear Operation (NLO). These safeguards work in concert to shield your system from power irregularities, ensuring the safety of your components and the stability of your operations. This comprehensive protection offers unparalleled peace of mind, allowing you to focus on your tasks without worrying about power-related failures from your 850W power supply.

Silent operation meets superior cooling in this PC Power Supply

Keeping your system running smoothly requires effective cooling without adding unnecessary noise. The 120mm Hydro Dynamic Bearing (HDB) silent fan is engineered for durability and quiet operation. HDB fans offer a longer lifespan compared to traditional sleeve bearings and operate at significantly reduced noise levels, ensuring that your powerful PC power supply remains a quiet presence, whether you are gaming intensely or working on a critical project.
